Where in the World?

Ok, it's the off season, so we'll try a new amusement to get your Europe travel juices flowing. Got any idea where the picture on the right was taken? I'll give you some hints. It's on the road to a town with a castle that tourists visit. There's a "witches house" carved into the base of it. It's in a country where you're allowed to just stop and park next to the guard rail even though it's illegal. Don't click "Read More" until you've guessed where you think this picture was taken--or the Goddess of the Internet will certainly frown upon you and likely do something unseemly with your mouse. It's the famous Elephant Rock on the road to the Sardinian town of Castlesardo. Get a bigger picture and some info here. You can also read an Introduction to Sardinian Archaeology on this site, get info on how to get to the Italian island, read about the amazing town of Orgosolo, where you'll see some quite interesting murals.
