Virus Knocks out State Department's Visa System

The US State Departments system for checking visa applicants for terrorist or criminal activity failed late Tuesday, according to SiliconValley.com. A virus was evidently to blame. This is the most serious disruption in years to U.S. government computers--the government system won't even print a visa until a check is completed. Hours later, the system was reported to be up once again.
