Hadrian's Wall Path Complete
Monday November 10, 2003
Visitors to Britain are now able to walk the full length of Hadrian's Wall, a World Heritage Site built by the Emperor Hadrian in the second century that was once part of the northern-most frontier of the Roman Empire. The 81-mile Hadrian's Wall Path is a signposted route from Wallsend (Newcastle upon Tyne) in the east to Bowness-oon-Solway in the west. The hike is ideal for a week-long walking holiday but 40 short walks have also been created. Roman forts, temples, a bath house, and museums can also be visited in the area.
