Greeks In Italy - The Temples at Paestum

Saturday January 24, 2004
Italy's Campania region holds some of the world's most fascinating scenery and archaeological sites. The northern boundary of the Magna Grecia is represented here by the three Greek Doric temples at Paestum, the most complete in Italy. Paestum is just a short hop from the Amalfi coast, not to mention the well-preserved ancient cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum--and if you're a real archaeology buff, you'll just have to go to Naples to see the Archaeological museum, the best in Italy, and maybe chow down on a pizza or two. Besides the Paestum Visitors Guide and pictures of the temples, we offer a Campania map and traveler essentials, to let you know about the wealth of interesting sites concentrated in the area, and you'll find transportation options for Naples and Campania in our Naples Transportation Guide.
