Travel Where the Hot Spots are Geothermal: Iceland

Wednesday March 31, 2004
Ok, let's face it, beaches you can roast upon to a tender doneness tend to get all the attention when vacation planning comes 'round, nude ones included. But the contrarians among us may want to consider Iceland as a travel destination. I found a pretty good description of the country's wonders from a French guy living in Boston who happens to have found a hobby in investigating security problems in software (and who's currently on trial in Paris for demonstrating a few of them in French Anti-Virus software). Criminal or not, you may want to read Iceland, the Vikings, the Cosmos and me. Nice pictures taken with a disposable camera along with commentary on the Blue Lagoon and using geothermic activity as a clean energy source, just like they are starting to do in Northern California. Think you might want to vacation in Iceland? We have a map and travel resources, of course.
