D-Day Veterans -- Special Offers on European Travel

Thursday May 20, 2004
On the 60th anniversary of D-Day landings in World War II, Veterans can receive special discounts on travel in France, including a free France Railpass offering four days of travel within a one-month period.

Rail Europe is offering the free, first class France Railpass, providing unlimited rail travel throughout France for four days in one month. The offer is only valid to residents of North America who are veterans of the Normandy invasion. If you qualify, fill out RailEurope's form.

Brittany Ferries offers special fares for Normandy Veterans to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the liberation of Normandy. Savings are valid from June 1 to August 2004 on Brittany Ferries.

Other information on ceremonies, passes, and accommodations for veterans, as well as D-DAY memorabilia can be found on Normandie Memoir, the official D-DAY 60th Anniversary web site.

For more information on D-Day Invasion sites, see D-Day Invasion and Other Historic Attractions in France, resources compiled by Kelby Carr, your guide to France for Visitors.
