Relax, You're in Alet-Les-Bains!

Saturday January 1, 2005
You ever go on the hunt for a truly relaxing vacation? Most folks seem to travel through Europe like possessed demons, four cities in three days or bust. How about hanging out in a small South-of-France spa village, where you can treat your digestive ills in the magic waters, wander around the ruins of an abbey started in the 7th century, and see one of the nicest medieval squares around? There's fine lodging and dining at a reasonable price as well.

The village is Alet Les Bains, and it's right in the heart of Cathar Country and only 7 kilometers from Rennes le Chateau. We have travel information for Alet Les Bains, as well as pictures of the medieval core of the village and some snaps of the evocative abbey ruins.
