Travel on the Romantic Road: Dinkelsbuhl, Germany

Monday March 21, 2005

Dinkelsbuhl Travel PictureDinkelsbuhl is a compelling stop along Germany's romantic road. Called a "little Rothenburg" by some travelers, it is far less touristy than the well-know city on the Tauber. For more on the charms of Dinkelsbuhl and a location map, see our Dinkelsbuhl, Germany Guide, or take a virtual tour of the destination through our Dinkelsbuhl Pictures.

If you like the charm of German medieval cities strung out in a neat path across your road map, the romantic road can be combined with a drive along Germany's castle road, ending up at one of my favorite places in Germany, Heidelburg. And just in case you need a road map, we have a list of the most popular Michelin Road Maps of Germany.
