The Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery

Wednesday May 4, 2005
You may think that the largest American cemeteries overseas are associated with D-Day and Normandy, but the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery--where victims of the Meuse-Argonne Offensive in World War I are buried--is the largest American cemetery in Europe. 14,246, including 486 unknown soldiers are buried near the Belgian border, north of Verdun.
