Malgrate Castle Photo Tour

Monday August 22, 2005
malgrate italy pictureMalgrate. Doesn't the word just reek of gritty medieval intrigue? Well, in this case Malgrate is a castle and borgo in Tuscany's seldom visited Lunigiana region. It guarded the Bagnone valley, which is to say it probably kept people from passing without leaving tribute in the form of "taxes." In any case, it's one of those tiny gems that visitors seldom see, so we've lugged the Canon out to photo it. See our Malgrate Castle and Borgo Travel Planner for pictures and a location map, just in case you wanna go.
