Where to Vacation in November

SmarterTravel recommends Portugal as destination of the month for November (Link via Gadling). It's still warm in Portugal--and it's low season--better to find great lodging rates in a country that's not all that expensive in the first place. I'll be heading off to northern Tuscany to spend my November. I'll expect some warm days, a few cool ones, and cold nights. I'll huddle up to the fire and down some Panigacci on the coldest evenings. Late fall and winter is sometimes the best time to travel, especially if you want to rub elbows with locals, rather than tourists.
