Keeping Track in Germany

Friday February 3, 2006
From our "you'd think they'd notice it missing" department comes word from Reuters that, "Thieves have dismantled and carted away some 5 kms (3 miles) of disused rail track close to the German town of Weimar."

Actually, someone did notice it while the heist was in operation. But I'd like to see someone walk off with that amount of track. Can't be easy.

Take a look at our Germany Rail Map before they steal it all. I mean, the track was worth at least 200,000 euros.
