A Castle with Grit - Beaufort Castle in Luxembourg

Saturday February 4, 2006
This one's got it all. It's not your gussied-up tourist spot. Beaufort Castle has enough of its 12th century remains to give you an idea of medieval life, but it hasn't a roof, so you can take evocative pictures with just about any camera. See remains of the castle kitchen, then head down to Beaufort Castle's torture chamber to gaze at the reconstructed instruments of torture. If you can't go, we have some Beaufort Castle Pictures for you.

Want to know where Beaufort Castle is? Try our Luxembourg Map. Don't know where little Luxembourg is? It's just south of Belgium; see our Belgium Map. I really enjoyed Luxembourg--keep it on your European vacation radar.
