Ah, Milano!

Milan, or Milano, isn't usually considered one of those top-tier tourist destinations that Italy seems chock full of. Still, one can eat (and shop!) quite well there. On a recent trip I rediscovered one of my favorite restaurants, the Trattoria Toscana di Giovanni, right near the central train station. In other Milan news, the fabulous Duomo has been under scaffolding for a while, and it'll be November before they unwrap the front of the high-spired Gothic wonder. Lots of repairs and restoration going on.
