In a Topsy-Turvy World—Why Not Visit the Vatican?

Things change. Folks get riled up. First off, you've got the Vatican astronomer Guy Consolmagno declaring that "creationism, whose supporters want it taught in schools alongside evolution, was a 'kind of paganism' because it harked back to the days of 'nature gods' who were responsible for natural events." Think he's going to be in trouble when he gets back to Rome?

Then there's all the Da Vinci Code flap, starting with Vatican Archbishop Angelo Amato urging Christians to "boycott the Da Vinci Code movie because he claims it is not true." This was followed by Vatican Official Cardinal Francis Arinze calling for legal action against DaVinci Code.

Is the world moving too fast? Does it contain too many versions of the truth? The Vatican waits for you, Da Vinci or not--but if you happen to be an devotee, Fodor's is releasing a Da Vinci Code Guide that you might want to keep under wraps while you're visiting the Pope.
