Tuscany Virtual Tours: Step Inside the Duomo of Siena, Italy
The Duomo of Siena, known for its distinctive black and white campanile from the 13th century, is one of the best examples of the Italian Gothic cathedral in Italy. Inside is a forest of black and white columns, the famous marble pulpit by Nicola Pisano from the 11th century, the Renaissance Liberia Piccolomini, and a polychrome marble pavement with 56 panels of religious and secular scenes produced between the 12th and 14th centuries that you probably won't get to see because they're covered to protect them from tourist's feet.
