The Off Season Is Now!

Saturday September 6, 2008
We've been tromping about in southern Germany, and today dipped a toe into Switzerland to see Europe's biggest waterfall, the Rhine Falls or Rheinfall.

You know what, not only are there few tourists about, but we haven't heard a single word of English spoken. Sites seem eerily unpopulated. On a Saturday, the falls were easy to visit, parking spaces easy to procure, and we had no problem going anywhere.

And just think, it "only" costs 1.43 for a Euro, the best bargain in years.
