Italian Castles

Tuesday September 9, 2008
One of my fascinations here in Northern Tuscany's Lunigiana region is with castles. There are over 160 castles and castle ruins in our little territory.

But of course, I haven't been to every castle in Italy. So, to take a peek at Senior Travel guide Nancy Parode's faves, see Castles of Italy.

Did you know you could even stay in a Tuscan castle, or bed down in a restored 12th century monastic outpost in Umbria?
