Where do you suppose Europe's biggest waterfall is located? If you said Switzerland, you'd be right. It's the Rhine Falls, or Rheinfall, just across the border from Germany. Don't think in terms of huge distances for water to fall--think of tons of water roiled by unmovable boulders; falls that give you a different look every time you turn around. You can even be taken out in the middle of them and left on a big outcrop like the folks in the picture.
If you ever wanted to feel the earth's monstrous power, it's right there on that rock. Perhaps you'll want to first take a virtual tour, drier than many alternatives: Rhine Falls PicturesPicture of Rhine Falls and Boat © 2008 by Martha Bakerjian, Italy Travel
