Karlsruhe, Germany Travel Planner

Wednesday November 19, 2008
karlsruhe germany pictureKarlsruhe, Germany, the "gateway to the Black Forest", features an award winning train station and a palace with a fascinating museum that sits at a hub of radiating roads that form a transportation "wheel", a masterpiece of Baroque city planning. There's a lively market, an inexpensive spa and swanky pedestrian shopping streets.

Sure, lots of people pass up Karlsruhe for Heidelberg to the north or Baden Baden to the south, but Karlsruhe has its charms, like the interesting garden and zoo you see in the picture. Take a peek at our Karlsruhe Travel Guide and then look at our Karlsruhe Pictures to see if Karlsruhe is worth a stop on your European vacation.
