Sanremo
Wednesday December 17, 2008
On our late fall trip this year we made a stopover in Sanremo. I'd always dismissed Sanremo as an expensive resort city. Sure, it has a famous casino where the wealthy leave tiny portions of their fortunes, but there was also the medieval core called La Pigna, an evocative tangle of narrow alleyways and tiny piazze. For the foodie there's plenty of fresh seafood, and the size of the yachts in the harbor will make you realize how much money there still is in the world. Take a virtual tour of Sanremo on the Ligurian coast with our Sanremo Pictures.
