I’ve only had artichokes once in my life at a dinner party and I still remember how lovely they were – but alas, I have no idea how to prepare them and no time to experiment right now…

This kind of artichoke can be eaten raw when sliced thinly and dressed like any salad in Italy, with olive oil and a touch of vinegar, salt and pepper.
