Syracuse Sicily- Siracusa - Italy
Ear of Dionysius - a cave in Syracuse that amplifies the sounds inside. Upon visiting and noting that whispers could be heard clearly by someone outside the cave, the Italian painter Caravaggio claimed that the cave was used as a prison which let Dionysius hear the plotting of his captives.
