Alba Fucens - The Abruzzo - Italy
Pictures of the ancient Roman Settlement halfway between Rome and the Adriatic coast, settled in 303 b.c. The Excavations are actualy more interesting than shown here--but the interest is in the details, you can still see the hitching rings built into the sides of the roads if you look closely. And the setting is quite spectacular.
