You can buy religious articles and tourist stuff, as well as stamps on the premisis. In Portugal, tiles were used outside buildings, especially churches, to make them cooler inside, or so they say. But even if you're standing right next to this pristeen tile work, you have to zoom in and look very closely to see what's in the background (next picture).
