Vila Nova de Gaia - Portugal Picture Gallery
The walkway along the river is crammed with cafes and restaurants, and most of the Port houses offer tastings. It's the best way to get the whole picture of Porto, just sit and order a glass of port, which you choose by the age. You can go all out, it's not expensive by US standards at all.
