Pantheon Pictures - Rome Italy
The Roman Pantheon is the largest unreinfored solid concrete dome in the world, and the most complete Roman monument.

The dome and oculus of the Pantheon. The 7.8 meter hole in the top of the dome allows light to enter the structure. The "coffers" you see add visual interest, but more importantly make the dome structure lighter. The picture is from 2004, taken while the Pantheon was undergoing extensive restoration.
