Driving the highway outside of Agrigento, Sicily your eyes will be drawn away from the road to the temples, especially the almost complete Temple of Concord. Agrigento is the place to see temples in Europe.

The temples are said to be located in "The Valley of the Temples" or Valle dei Templi. In fact, they lie on a ridge between the new city and the highway. You can see the sea from many of the temples.
In spring, when these pictures were taken, the traveler will find wildflowers blooming in perfusion outside the excavations.
A combination ticket gets you into the temple excavations and the museum, which brings light to the experience.
