James MartinIt is rumored that Rembrandt painted "The Night Watch" here, but that's a disputed claim--although Rembrandt lived and worked quite nearby and three of his children are buried in the 17th century church.
From June to September you can climb the church tower on a free guided tour; these leave on the hour, Wednesday through Saturday from 2 to 4pm. Metro: Nieuwmarkt. Tram: 9, 14, or 20 to Waterlooplein.
