Bad Wimpfen is a spa town between Heidelberg and Heilbronn in the Neckar river valley along Germany's Castle Road. It's famous primarily for its Blue Tower, but there are other attractions for the traveler, including spa treatments and the Guardian Angel museum. You can climb the 167 stairs of the 58.75 meter high Blue Tower to get your bearings.
The only Neo-Gothic railway station in southern Germany houses the tourist office, and there is parking there so you can walk up to the Alt Stadt, or old town, which is walled and sits on a long ridge.
