Cinque Terre Pay Station

Cinque Terre - You'll know when to pay, and what to wear!

James Martin
Here's where you'll get your ticket to walk. You can't miss the pay stations of the Cinque Terre. In 2004 the cost was three Euros for a day pass to walk the trails. Price includes a map. You can also use a "blue card" which is a one, three, or seven day card that covers unlimited train rides between Levanto and La Spezia (including all the Cinque Terre towns) as well as use of the walking trails. The price of the card is 5.20 Euros (1 day )--12.40 Euros 3 days -- and 19.50 Euros for a week.

Notice that you are advised not to wear high heels on the trails. No doubt a garter belt and seamed nylons are frowned upon as well. Watch your gear.

I hope this presentation helps in your understanding of what walking the trails between Cinque Terre Villages entails. For a printable map and information on some of the other Cinque Terre Trails, see Wandering Italy - Cinque Terre Hiking Trails, or use the resources below to find out more about visiting the Cinque Terre.
