In my office there's a big wall map showing western Europe. It's big enough to plan a trip to major European centers. I always have a map nearby. A wall map will allow you to daydream your European vacation without unfolding anything. I like my maps laminated, so when my friends with greasy fingers point to a place I can clean up the mess easily.
You can order this map in two sizes, laminated or not. I'd go with the laminated, it looks nicer on the wall without wrinkles and cleans up easier. From National Geographic, always good with maps.
Get the lay of the land with this physical wall map by Gabelli. If you want to see the topographic detail of Europe, this is the one. The physical data doesn't seem to interfere with the location of cities--plenty of towns are listed. A plastic map of 34" x 27" dimentions.
This 30' x 23" paper map may be just what you need to plan a trip to France and the Benelux countries. The regional boundaries stand out on this map, so if you're planning a trip to provence, you'll find it.
The same size as above, except that you can get this map either in paper or laminated. Great wall map to plan your vacation in Germany.
