Courtyard of the University of Evora

The Jesuit University was founded in 1559. It features Renaissance marble cloisters and the classroom entrances are decorated with tile panels representing each of the subjects taught. A peek inside gives an interesting glimpse at formal education at a historic university in Portugal.
