A better and closer option is the town of Arona. A quiet and popular hotel option is the three-star Michelangelo, just on the left as you enter the town. A double will cost you 70 Euros, and all rooms are air conditioned. Breakfast adds another 5 Euros. Fenced private parking is free. There is a ristorante pizzeria on the premises, although a short walk into town gives you other eating options. It was a 20 minute drive from the Michelangelo to Terminal 1 at Malpensa on a Sunday morning with no traffic. You should allow much more time if you're traveling on a weekday. Ask at the hotel desk if you're unsure.
