Tournon and the Hermitage Wine Region of the Cotes du Rhone

Explore the Northern Cotes du Rhone with our pictures

By

The wines of Hermitage are legendary. If you take the train through the Rhone valley, you'll be struck by the steep, vine-covered slopes of the Hermitage wine region above the town of Tain-l'Hermitage, across the river from Tournon sur Rhone.

We stayed in Tournon sur Rhone for a couple of nights to explore the region and its wines. For walkers who like compelling scenery, this is a wonderful place to spend a few days.

Explore our Hermitage gallery. You'll find information on landmarks as well as our favorite restaurant--and one of the cheapest in the area.
