Sauveterre de Bearn is a medieval town in in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department in south-western France on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela. Once an important town meant to protect Navarre and Gascony, Sauveterre-de-Béarn is today a quiet river town with a Romanesque church and a bridge that recalls a legend of 1170.
