Siena Battistero - The Baptistry of Siena

The gothic Battistero is dedicated to St. John the Baptist and was built between 1316 and 1325. The frescoes are from the 15th century. The centerpiece of the Battistero is the hexagonal marble font from the early 15th century with guilded bronze bas-reliefs depicting scenes from the life of St. John by Jacopo della Quercia.
