Tellaro is a small Ligurian fishing village located near the town of Lerici. You can get a ferry from Lerici or La Spezia to Tellaro. Despite its small size, the town includes the Michelin starred Locanda Miranda seafood restaurant (with rooms).
You can almost see Lord Byron traipsing down to the rocky shore to plunge into the Mediterranean on a steamy morning. Tellaro, and the other small villages of the Gulf of Poets (Il Gulfo dei Poeti) make up a favorite area of many Italians looking for sun and sea adventures.
