Fosdinovo Castle: Picture of the Castle in Autumn - Lunigiana, Tuscany

James Martin
Fosdinovo is a town named after its Malaspina castle in Tuscany's Lunigiana region, Massa and Carrara province. Records of the existence of Fosdinovo Castle exist by 1124. The Castle is now privately owned, but tours are given. In fact, the castle is the property of the Marquis Torregiani-Malaspina, and reconsturction is ongoing. The following pictures were taken in November of 2004, a terrific time to visit the area, with blue skies and crisp weather alternating with brooding low clouds and occasional rain.
