La Preghiera Pictures

Here's what I call the "front" view of La Preghiera. Note the flat arches, which date the building to the 12th century. They weren't used for very long because they weren't good at bearing loads--a sort of survival of the fittest, or maybe the result of "unintelligent design." Still, they look nice, eh?
